It’s Official. We’re Texans.

Well, after months of utter craziness, it’s official – we’re Texans. We’ve even got a physical address, drivers’ licenses, and multiple pairs of cowboys boots to prove it (ok, fine, I’ll admit I’ve been wearing cowboy boots since I was about knee-high, but I’ve noticed that here in Austin nobody thinks I’m weird for my little obsession).

I’d like to start by saying howdy to all the new folks on the list who joined during the last run of shows in Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa (where we took the fun post-show pic above) – welcome! I’m glad you’re here.

I’m excited to announce I’ve booked my first Texas show. I’ll be performing as part of the Austin Airport’s ‘Live Music in the Air’ series on Tuesday, October 9th. So if you happen to be flying in or out of Austin that day, you can catch me song-slingin’ from 1 to 3 at Annie’s Cafe, just past Gate 18.

Speaking of booking: I realize it’s only September, but if you’re planning any sort of holiday soirée and are thinking you might want to have a certain singing pianist serenade your guests, now is a good time to reply back to this email to make sure you get your desired date as my holiday performance schedule is filling up fast.

That’s all for now – I need to go rescue a batch of molasses cookies from the oven before they burn (I am SO excited it’s baking season again. Truly.) Oh! Almost forgot – pics from the road (well, and Texas) below.

pumpkin and spice and everything nice,

Pic #1: Our realtor bought us some welcome-to-Texas decor for our new house and I’ve picked up a cowhide rug for my new studio office. When in Rome and such.

Pic #2: This was the set-up at a lovely little restaurant in Oklahoma City called Rococo. Great food and nice folks. This was my first time playing in Oklahoma, and I’m hoping to make it back soon.
